Each year Knoxville turns into a legitimate Winter Wonderland. The entire city from locally owned businesses to massive shopping centers put up lights and decor, creating a vibrant and happy Christmas spirit. In 2014 I spent a week exploring this active and friendly city searching for the best decorations and lights. Here I have some of my favorite photos from my time in the city. One of the few times of the year you can explore Cherokee Caverns is to see the Christmas decorations on weekends in December.
Market Square at the heart of Knoxville is the site of a lot of Christmas activities and decor.
All the shops, restaurants, and businesses along Gay Street spruce up the city for Christmas.

A skating rink is put in the middle of Market Square and is one of the best places to bring the family, even if you can’t skate!
